This is my biocube 14. It has been up for a year. there is 1 clownfish, 1 six line wrasse, and some snails and hermit crabs. The corals are xenias, leather corals, red mushrooms, and frogspawn. well, that is my tank hope you like it. This was recorded a day after a water change so the corals are still closed up a little. This was recorded on my motorola droid. 8 months In My Nano Cube 24 Gallon marine fish tank. I have 2 Maroon Clownfish, Wrasse, Bubble tip Anenome, blenny cleaner shrimp. Has a Mp10es fitted which is on high power during this video, this Nano cube has been up and running for 8 months and I have had the Maroon Clown fish about 4 months. The clown fish live in the anenome and the blenny sits on the mushroom, The reindeer wrasse does not attack any invertebrates such as the hermits yet. The wrasse will have to be removed in another 12 months. I am happy with my nano cube and I hope you like the video. Maroon Clown fish Rule!. This is my first aquarium. Got it due to inlaws loosing interest. Its a 14yr old tank but my brother inlaw kept it great condition. It was a fresh water setup, now turned into salt . All the rocks you see were purchased second hand via craigslist. The artifical live rocks only cost me . Reading articiles on various forums aswell as youtube vids have helped out in setting up this tank. So far I have not lost a fish.
To add sand to a fish tank, you should always keep the opening of the bag under water. This will help the sand fall to the bottom of the tank, instead of getting stuck and floating on the surface! Also be sure to turn OFF your filters! Sand can destroy the pump in your filter! Wait until the tank looks clear, then turn them back on. Don’t worry, your fish will be just fine without filters for a couple hours! Leave your heater plugged in, but unplug the filters.
This is my 10 gallon fish only saltwater tank. Its my first ever saltwater tank. I currently have one clownfish in the tank with fake coral. I went fish only since I am a beginner and building a reef takes a lot of work. So far this tank is going well. I am not sure if I can add another fish to this tank. If I do, I might add another clownfish or damsel fish.
update on my aquarium. ordered refractometer, tds meter, reef crystals salt mix, chemi pure, and phospho ban, heres my plan for the 60 gallon: So I plan on having my 60 gallon aquarium to be a mixed reef tank, l will start off small with some zoanthids then work my way up to some lps and sps corals and I will have a few fish as I don’t want to overstock my system. 2 mp 10s, gonna get the reef keeper lite, I plan on using reef crystals because I have herd good reviews on it. I will be using my swc 120 cone skimmer, ive got a spectra pure RO/DI system, I will need to get the jbj auto top off, I will be using my mag 5 as a return pump, and I will buy a cpr overflow box, and for lighting i will get theaqua medic ocean light t5 light fixture with LED moonlights, 36″, 8 x 39W. im leaning towards the side of using dry rock and then seeding it with 22 pounds of premium fiji live rock from live aquaria.com. and im definatly going to have a 30 gallon sump/refugium with a deep sand bed, live rock and chatomorpha and combined with the sump/refugium i was thinking about either building or buying a cpr hang on the back refugium also with a deep sand bed or possibly mirical mud and chatomorpha. deep sand bed in the display tank For the sand I will be using natures ocean sugar fine live sand and I was thinking of somehow getting a cup of someones already mature sandbed to seed my sand bed with all the beneficial worms and pods. I still don’t really know how many critters, hermit crabs …
