This is day 2 and in this video #4, I added sand, water and live rock to my new Red Sea Max 250 Reef System. I actually created a little invention using a common garder hose attachment that Ithink helped speed up clearing the water from sand sediment. I have sea salt intended for use as table salt. It is non iodized and says on the box that it is harvested
directly from north french atlantic coasts. the box also says it is unrefined and holds all of the trace elements of the ocean. I do not intend to use it for all of the salt mix of the aquarium, I just need to do a 10% water change.

But if you live near the beach would it be better to get water from there?
I have sea salt purchased from the grocery store and am preparing a saltwater aquarium. Should I purchase specialized sea salt or is the grocery-store sea salt fine for the fish?
