This video is the first in what will hopefully be a series of videos about setting up a Nano reef aquarium. In this video I describe the equipment I Use as well as show it all installed on the tank. I also fill the tank with RO/DI water and mix the salt. Please let me know what you think, if you have any suggestions or comments I’d love to here them, this is my first venture into the marine aquarium hobby so I’ve got some learning to do but I’ve been doing my research and acquiring as much knowledge as I can in hopes of having a good first experience in the reef world. So Again, let me know what you think, Comment, Rate, subscribe and I’ll do my best to keep up, Thanks for watching.
This is the second video in my 20 Gallon Nano reef aquarium Build. In this video I talk about the sand I will use and i get the sand in the aquarium, i get the protien skimmer up and running, and get active carbon in the power filter. I also add a Versa Top, I lost a good bit of water to evaporation over the first week, so hopfully this top will help. In this video I show you how my BioCube 14 is setup and stocked. I do the best I can with the crappy camera I have and my iPhone but the video still comes out bad. Oh well, you get the idea of what I’m trying to show you here. This video does my tank no justice as it is a very beautiful and colorful tank. Here what you are looking at: Equipment: 14 Gallon BioCube, Biocube skimmer, stock return pump, and Biocube powerhead. I had to constantly move the powerhead to get it in the right spot for this tiny tank. It leave a deep dune in the sandbed in the back of the tank but I can deal with that. Fish: two spot blenny, Yellow clown Goby, and a clownfish Inverts: 5 Snails(3 types), 4 Hermit’s, Emerald crab, Cleaner shrimp Coral: Bird’s nest, 2 types of Xenia, Blue Mushroom, Star polyp, Ricordia, Tongue Coral Also have a Lima Clam Please leave me some comments and let me know what you think about my tank.
