New saltwater aquarium that I got! It’s not done yet, but whatever, I thought I’d show you anyway.

can anybody tell me y my hippo tang is not swimming around the aquarium? It stays in that spot and comes up to eat and moves up and down the heater and than sits on the holders for the heater?!?!?!? I’m concerned about it’s health. Thanks(at 1:00-1:07)
I’d say its just looking for a place to hide… U should make some caves
IF thats a 30 its exactly lik my freinds and his hipo does the same thing.
dod i cycle ur tank. if u didnt and just put it in there once u added the water it’s gonna die. maybe you need to raise the temperature in the tnk so that the temperature equals out.
It looks like things are starting smoothly. It will look much better after your done getting everything settled in.:)
I’d like to add some hardy polyps and corals to my marine tank. How long did you cycle before adding the feather dusters etc…? Are you using halide lighting?
im guessing that there is not manny caves in the tank i had a yellow tang an he loved to hang out in the cave gave him away got to big so i would say eather get more live rock or put somthing in there he can hide an feel safe in
I would add more LR, but cool tank.
what did you buy to build the aquarium, i know the sand, live rock and stuff, but what type of filter, air pump, and do you have a protein skimmer?
im thinking of getting a salt water tank about how much did u pay for all of that
how much light do you need for feather dusters
by the way cool looking tank
Close to about $500-$1000
how much dose it cost to keep it going
got any fish in there?
well i dont know if you figured it out on your own yet but i noticed you have one or two chocoletchip star fish and u have feather dusters and rock anomeis those star fish will eat all that stuff it sucks i ran into that problem already so beware great tank tho it looks good
$500-1000 for a tank 40g+ and you will have to do weekly Water changes… And you cant use Tap water you have to use Reverse Osmosis water… located at your local Wal-Mart or Pet shop. Thats about it (for the weekly mainenance). But you need cleaners, scrubbers, etc. You mainly invest Time after you set up your tank.. Besides fish and corals etc etc.
You can use tap water you just have to make sure to decholrinate it with commercial dechlorinators
