what are live rocks, are they a similar premise to frags, just rocks with various organisms beginning to grow on them, or have i just made a fool of myself, at least i didnt guess to literally.

  • kurtinge says:

from what i have heard it is destroid corals that falls down and then alot of pieces bind together and become a rock. and there is various organisms in them.

  • PlantsOfAllSorts says:

@kurtinge live rock are the rocks you build your reef on. it is actually broken coral, sand, shells etc. that has gotten compacted together over time and now it has necessary and beneficial organisms living on and in it.
